Board Vacancy: Applications Now Open

In accordance with board policy, BBE-1, The Ozark R-VI School District is seeking qualified cadidates to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education. 

The appointed individual will serve until the next April 2027 election. The Board requires all individuals who wish to be appointed to the Board to meet the eligibility requirements for School Board candidates under Missouri law.

Applications should be submitted to the Ozark R-VI district office by 12:00 p.m. July 17, 2026. No online applications will be accepted.

Back to School Bash

The 2026 Back to School Bash will be Saturday, Aug. 15 and helps Ozark students in grades K–12 start the school year with confidence by providing a backpack, school supplies, hygiene kits, and access to community resources. It's also a great family-friendly event to help kick off the school year!

2022 Bond: Completed as Promised!

In April 2022, Ozark voters approved a $19 million no-tax increase bond issue to construct three storm shelters and an indoor activities building at the high school. In fall 2024, those projects were completed as promised. The district not only was able to accommodate growth, but remained under budget. The remaining $5 million supported capital improvement projects around the district, and in spring 2026, we celebrated the last project — the new baseball field!

East Named National Gold Star School

Ozark East Elementary is one of only two schools in the state of Missouri named a 2026 National Gold Star School by the National Association of Elementary School Principals. East was also one of eight Missouri Gold Star Schools presented by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in 2025.

Academies at Work Culinary students

Ozark Academies steps out of the classroom! Ozark School District is proud to announce the launch of its Registered Youth Apprenticeship program: Academies at Work. The program is an extension of Ozark’s Academy Program where students will get hands-on experience in their chosen career pathway while earning school credit and getting paid for their work.
