Junior High Construction Update
Effective February 1, we are beginning phase one of the OJS renovations and new construction. With each phase, some areas and travel patterns will remain open and accessible while others will close.
Please notice on the map that the student drop-off and pick-up areas will remain unchanged during this phase. The largest change is the relocation of the main office and parent access to the building (denoted by the blue arrow). All parents and visitors will enter and exit the building using this entrance. Visitor parking can be found directly across from the new office location. A second challenge we are facing with the office move will be sharing the bus lane between parents with office business and bus traffic. For the safety of everyone, we are asking parents to adjust their time for office business to avoid potential conflict with bus traffic. Parents will have access to the bus lane beginning at 7:50 and ending at 2:15 Monday-Thursday and 7:50-1:15 on Fridays. Thank you for adjusting your schedules to make traffic patterns as safe as possible.
The yellow dashes in the old parking lot areas indicate a construction zone which will be closed to visitor, parent and all travel through traffic. The construction area will limit the travel patterns of our students as well. Please partner with your student in knowing the weather conditions for the day. Students will be traveling outside on most days and should dress accordingly.
All of us at Ozark Junior High want you know how much we appreciate the patience and understanding you and your students have shown during this time of renovation and growth. We will continue to safeguard your child’s safety and education in every decision. The inconveniences of today will lead to exciting opportunities for our students in the future!
