Voters Approve Ozark School District’s $26.5 Million No Tax Increase Bond Issue

Ozark School District is pleased to announce the passage of the $26.5 million no tax increase bond issue, Operation Renovate and Innovate, after the June 2 election. 62.14% of votes cast were in favor of the ballot initiative, which will not only allow the opening of the Ozark Innovation Center and expansion of Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center, but enhancement of our educational philosophy and innovation in our approach to education.

“We would like to thank the Ozark community for supporting our school district and the members of our long range planning task force for their initial work to create a plan that’s best for Ozark students,” said Ozark Superintendent Chris Bauman. “This is a testament to the value and trust our community places in our schools, our teachers and our staff.”

Operation Renovate & Innovate is Phase One of the District's Long Range Plan. The projects include renovating the Ozark Innovation Center to become a second high school campus, and remodeling the former District Office to expand Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center. The estimated completion date is August, 2022. Grades will shift for the 2022-23 school year:

  • Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center - Pre-K classes added
  • Elementary - K-4
  • Ozark Middle School - 5-6
  • Ozark Junior High - 7-8
  • Ozark High School + Innovation Center - 9-12
