Ozark Board of Education Swears in 3 New Members
The Ozark School District is happy to welcome three newly-elected members to the Board of Education following the April 4 election. Newcomers Amber Bryant, Guy Callaway and Christina Tonsing were sworn onto the Board at the April 13 meeting. The Board voted to re-elect incumbent Sarah Adams Orr to serve as president and Mark Jenkins as vice president for the 2023-24 school year.
The three new members replace longtime members Tom Bass, Jeff Laney and Shane Nelson, who did not file for re-election.
Superintendent Dr. Chris Bauman said he’s thankful to have board members who are active and dedicated to Ozark’s mission.
“Ozark is at an exciting juncture as we move into the future,” Bauman said. “The direction is clear and the horizon is bright, and our current and new board members will help the District to focus on its mission to provide high-quality education for each student’s future-readiness.”
