Congratulations to Ozark teachers Lindsay Ash, Albert Bryant and Michelle Giles for each receiving a Classroom Grant from the Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation.
“This year MRTF is awarding 126 $500 Classroom Grants and 20 PEERS grants to Missouri Public school employees,” said MRTF President Karen Miller, who is also an Ozark School District retiree. “MRTF is the philanthropic arm of Missouri Retired Teachers Association and our focus is to protect our pension systems and to protect Missouri public schools. Congratulations to these recipients.”
Lindsay Ash, Ozark Junior High science teacher, is the recipient of the MRTF grant made in honor of Ruby and Daniel McHan, both long-time educators in West Plains and Ozark. Their daughter, Idella Warden, also a long-time Ozark educator, helped present the award to Ash with Miller. Ash will use her $500 Classroom Grant to purchase classroom books.
Ozark High School Math Teacher Albert Bryant will purchase standing desks for his classroom with the $500 Classroom Grant.
West Elementary Kindergarten Teacher Michelle Giles is using her $500 Classroom Grant to purchase additional equipment to enhance and promote physical activity with her students.
