Fitzpatrick Named Executive Director of Student Services
The Ozark Board of Education, at its April 22 meeting, voted to hire Dr. Kim Fitzpatrick as Executive Director of Student Services for the 2021-22 school year.
Fitzpatrick has served as principal at South Elementary for 14 years. Starting her teaching career in 1989, Fitzpatrick has taught physical education, science and reading. She came to Ozark School District in 2003 where she has served as South Elementary principal and Ozark Junior High assistant principal. Fitzpatrick completed her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership at St. Louis University in 2003. In December 2020, the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals named her Distinguished Principal of the Year for the Southwest Region.
"I am excited to continue with the Ozark School system in a capacity that will directly impact students throughout the entire District,” she said. “I look forward to working with our team to improve the already outstanding student services we have in place.”
Assistant Superintendent of Learning Dr. Craig Carson said Fitzpatrick’s experience and passion make her a perfect fit for this position.
“Fitzpatrick brings a wealth of k-12 experience as both a teacher and an administrator in the elementary and secondary realms,” he said. “Her love for Ozark is only overshadowed by her love for each student and their growth. She will help the Learning Division continue to meet the District’s mission and vision.”
As Executive Director of Student Services, Fitzpatrick will oversee federal programs, the health services department, school resource officers, counselors and student interventions.
She replaces Gerald Chambers, who is moving into the seat of Executive Director of Secondary Learning, currently held by Dr. Melia Franklin. Franklin is taking the helm as Superintendent of the Sturgeon School District.
