OHS Hosts Fall Theater Showcase

This school year is full of challenges and firsts. Oftentimes, however, those challenges force us to think outside the box, and turn into something magical. Just ask OHS Theater Director Caraline Dawson.

“This project started as an idea this summer and was created as we went through the process, since it has never been done before,” Dawson said. “Like many other things this year, it has come with many challenges, but the directors never gave up and should be so proud of their accomplishments; I know I am.”

The Advanced Acting class project was to write, cast and direct their own original 10-minute plays. On Nov. 13-14, 15 of those original plays were performed in front of a live audience and lived streamed.

“The junior and seniors who wrote and directed their plays went through the many ups and downs that come with producing a live performance and have exceeded my expectations,” Dawson said.

Between the directors, actors and technicians, there were 45 students involved in the project.
