OHS Musicians Named to All-State Band

Three Ozark High School Tiger Pride Band students are now a part of the Missouri All-State Band. After a long day of blind auditions Dec. 7 in Columbia, Mason Waltke, junior, made second chair All-State Orchestra Winds & Percussion on bassoon; Brady Perkins, junior, made ninth chair All-State Band on trombone; and Brett Meyer, junior, made fourth chair All-State Band Honorable Mention on trombone.

Organized by the Missouri Bandmaster Association, the All-State Band will meet, rehearse and perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference in January.

Only students selected to the top All-District Band were eligible to audition for All-State Band.
