OHS Students Recognized at State TEAM Competition

Nine Ozark High School students attended the Technology Education Association of Missouri's State Contest May 6-7 at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, and all received 1 ratings for their projects.

Participants were Trenton Crisp, McKenna Kelsey, Max Johnson, Tori Freeman, Sean McKiernan, Trevor Long, Tyler Evans, Kaylea Robertson and Nick Blomquist. 

McKiernan, Johnson and Blomquist received grand awards for their projects, which means their projects were the best in the state of Missouri. McKiernan and Long also each received a grand award for an expo event, CAD Shoot-out.

Technology Education Association of Missouri (TEAM) is a professional, non-profit education association devoted to the development and advancement of industrial technology and engineering education in Missouri.

In order to participate in state competition, students had to qualify at Districts, which was held April 26 at Missouri State University. All OHS students received 1 ratings at Districts for the following projects:

  • Architectural Drafting - Brittney Shearin, McKenzie McCormick, Sean McKiernan, Trevor Long, Kevin Cummins, Andrew Marshall, Umama Oishi, McKenna Kelsey
  • Mechanical Drafting - Tyler Evans and Trenton Crisp
  • Woodworking - Kaylea Robertson, Max Johnson, Tori Freeman, Nick Blomquist, Bowyn Ziebarth, Adam Base and Gavin Base
