OHS Raider Team Places 13th at National Competition

On Nov. 3, the Ozark High School Army JROTC Raider Team attended the national Raider competition at Lawhorn Scouting Base in Molena, Georgia. Raider competitions are a team-based, military-themed, multi-event fitness competition. The national competition features a 5K run, rope bridge (construct bridge across river, cross river, then deconstruct bridge), Gauntlet (rucksack run), cross-country litter rescue, and a “physical team test.”

The Ozark Raider Team finished 13th in the male division. Cadet 1st Sgt. Brandon Ward represented the team in the individual “Ultimate Raider” competition, featuring the top Raider from each team. He placed second in his heat. His overall standing has not yet been publicized.

OHS students who participated in the national Raider competition include James Adams, Grant Bell, Dylan Fritz, Kaiden Johnson, Parker Lane, Clayton Moison, Riley Newsom, Justin Price, Lexzandro Rosario, Quinton Verburgt, Brandon Ward and Reid Wilson.
