OJH Students Work on Team Building in Inaugural Team Day
Ozark Junior High students had a break from classwork and spent time having fun in the sun on Friday, September 1, as they participated in the school’s inaugural Team Day.
The idea of Team Day is to help students bond with others on their “team” right at the beginning of the year, according to OJH Principal Dr. Philip Link.
“At OJH, students are assigned to a team with the goal of making our big school feel like a smaller school,” Link said. “Team Day affords our students and teachers the ability to build and strengthen relationships while creating memories.”
Students spent the day with their teams doing indoor and outdoor team building exercises with the help of Ozark High School JROTC and FFA students. The activities included tug-of-war, board walking, barrel racing (with stick horses), cornhole and many other fun, team-orientated activities. Students also tie-dyed t-shirts that they will wear whenever they have a spirit assembly.
