Ozark School Board Vice President Patty Quessenberry has been elected vice president of the Missouri School Boards’ Association for the 2022-23 school year. Members elected her during a meeting of the MSBA Delegate Assembly June 11 at the Igniting Great Ideas Summit in St. Charles. 

Quessenberry has served on the Ozark School Board since 1997 and as an MSBA board member for three years.  

Quessenberry said she decided to run for MSBA vice president because she “wanted to do more.”

“I want to be a stronger voice for Missouri students, teachers and school board members,” she said. “I want to lead others to stand up for Missouri’s children to ensure that our state delivers on its constitutional promise of a high-quality public education for all.”

As an MSBA officer, Quessenberry said she will work with school board members across the state and be a statewide advocate for public education not only in Jefferson City, but in Washington D.C.

“I want to be a voice for MSBA and a voice for over 900,000 students and over 66,000 teachers across Missouri to see that they all get a quality education,” she said. “I promise to always stand up and stand strong for public schools.” 

The Missouri School Boards’ Association is a not-for-profit organization that exists to help school boards ensure all students succeed.
