Wallace Named North Principal for 2023-24 School Year

The Ozark Board of Education, during a special board meeting March 10, voted to hire Dr. Zeb Wallace as the Ozark North Elementary principal for the 2023-24 school year.

Wallace has served as Ozark Middle School assistant principal since the 2020-21 school year. He began his administrative career at West Plains Elementary where he served as assistant principal. Prior to his time at West Plains Elementary, he served as the high school A+ coordinator and head baseball coach at West Plains High School. Wallace also spent time at Walnut Grove High School where he taught business and was the head baseball coach.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to continue to serve the Ozark School District as Ozark North principal,” Wallace said. “North Elementary encompasses a rich tradition of academic excellence, innovative learning opportunities for each student, and a family culture. I look forward to collaborating with staff, students and families to continue building upon our strengths and educating the whole student.”

Wallace obtained a bachelor's degree in business from Central Methodist University, followed by a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Missouri State University, and most recently a Doctorate in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.

“Dr. Wallace will be an excellent addition to North Elementary,” said Dr. Kent Sappington, executive director of elementary learning. “His knowledge of the learning that takes place at our middle school will help us to create smoother transitions between our lower and upper elementary schools.”

Wallace will step into his new role July 1, 2023. He is replacing Principal Dr. Morgan Kelly, who recently accepted a position in the Nixa School District.
