Elizabeth Dawson Named Assistant Director of Early Childhood

Ozark School District Names Assistant Director of Early Childhood for 2019-2020 School Year

The Ozark Board of Education voted to hire Elizabeth Dawson as the assistant director for early childhood during the Friday, May 10 meeting.

“We are excited to bring someone of Mrs. Dawson’s background and experience to Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center,” said Laura Eakins, director of early childhood. “Mrs. Dawson is innovative and passionate about the growth and development of our earliest learners.”

Dawson joined Ozark School District in 2015 as a speech-language pathologist working with elementary students. In 2017, Dawson became a special education process coordinator. Dawson earned her Specialist degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University in 2017 and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from William Woods University.

“I am honored to have been selected to help lead the amazing team of educators and professionals at Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center and am excited to continue this journey serving the District and community in this new role,” said Dawson. “I believe the work being done for our youngest learners and the connections made with families through Ozark School District's Early Childhood programs are of paramount importance for the future success of the District as a whole.” 

Sandra Roy, the current assistant director for early childhood, will move to South Elementary as an assistant principal for the 2019-20 school year.
