Ozark School District Names New Administrator for 2019-2020 School Year

The Ozark Board of Education voted to hire Rachel Tabuya as the West Elementary assistant principal for the 2019-2020 school year during the Tuesday, April 16 meeting.

“Mrs. Tabuya began student teaching at West Elementary and we are thrilled she is returning full circle,” said Dr. Sharon Underwood, West Elementary principal. “Mrs. Tabuya will be a strong addition to the West Elementary family with her experience teaching multiple grade levels and her strengths as a leader.”

Tabuya joined Ozark School District in 2014 and has taught second, third and fifth grade at East Elementary. Tabuya earned her Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from Missouri State University in 2017.

“I am excited to continue my educational journey at West Elementary and am looking forward to building relationships with the students, families and the incredible staff,” said Tabuya. “It is a privilege to continue to work in Ozark School District in a new capacity and I can't wait to see all we will build together.”

Jared Lotz, current West Elementary assistant principal, will move to Ozark Middle School as an assistant principal for the 2019-20 school year.
