For the first time in school history, the Ozark High School Varsity Cheerleaders qualified for High School Cheerleading Nationals after taking first place in the Show Me Regional qualifier on Nov. 16.
Coach Tess Keller said 2020 marked the first time Ozark attempted to compete for Nationals, and she is proud of the team.
“This season has brought us many challenges to navigate through, yet these girls kept their focus and still got the job done.” she said. “I am so proud of their ability to adapt with the changes and keep moving forward. I’m excited to see what their future holds.”
Currently, the team is preparing to compete for the National title in Disney World in February.
