The Competition Robotics Team, which consists of ninth-12th graders, competed virtually March 13, winning the Motivate award.
“It was a very challenging season but we came away winners again this year,” Coach Kristina Suiter said. “Our team won the Motivate award which goes to a team that embraces the FIRST culture and shows what it is to be a team while sharing the ideals of FIRST with their school and community. Teams must turn in an engineering portfolio, discuss their journey with a panel of judges and answer questions about their robot design, goals and plans, game strategy and teamwork. They must also compete in the robot challenge to be able to win this award. I'm so proud of them; they had an amazing interview with the judges.”
OHS juniors Brandon Faulkner and Major Cardin were also nominated for Dean’s List awards.
