Ozark High School juniors Meagan Smith and Eliza McComas earned a gold rating at the Missouri FCCLA State Leadership Conference March 17-19 and will now represent the state in California this summer at the National FCCLA Conference. Smith and McComas competed in the Interior Design category, designing a trendy resort hotel targeting millennials. Their project included a hotel room design, lounge design and branding for the hotel. The students are in the Level 2 Interior Design class, which is part of the Fashion and Interior Design Pathway at Ozark High School taught by Lexy McNew.
Ozark Junior High School FCCLA students also attended the conference. Hannah Jones received a silver for her work on Recycle Redesign; Kenzie Raby and Kadence Kirkland received a silver for Sports Nutrition; Grace Vance worked as a room consultant for the Job Interview Senior category; and Natalie Tucker received a regional officer position and met with FCCLA state leaders.
