Ozark Middle School Assistant Principal Named

On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, the Ozark School Board voted to hire Nicole Watkins as assistant principal for the 2018-19 school year.&nbsp

Watkins will move from an instructional technology coach and library media specialist at Ozark Middle School. Watkins began her career with Ozark School District in 2007 as an English Language Arts and social studies teacher for seven years and an instructional technology coach and library media specialist for the last four years.

“Nicole is one of the hardest workers I have ever met,” commented Ozark Middle School Principal Les Ford. “She has made great improvements to Ozark Middle School through her role as instructional technology coach for the last four years, and I’m looking forward to seeing how she will help us as assistant principal.”

Currently, the Ozark Middle School has one full-time assistant principal and shares an assistant principal with Ozark Junior High School. This position will eliminate the shared position, allowing each school to have two full-time assistant principals.

Watkins recently completed her Specialist in Educational Administration degree from Southwest Baptist University. She also has a Master in Education degree from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Missouri State University.

“I am excited to serve as an assistant principal at Ozark Middle School,” commented Watkins. “It is humbling to have been selected from so many excellent candidates. I look forward to supporting our students, teachers, staff and community as an educational leader for Ozark School District.”
