OHS Choir, Band Perform Solos, Ensembles at State
On April 29, over 45 Ozark High School band and choir students traveled to Mizzou to compete in the State Solo and Ensemble competition, and came home with some new hardware. Choir students received nine gold and nine silver ratings; and band received eight gold and 19 silver ratings.

Ozark Breaks Ground on OHS, Tiger Paw Storm Shelters
Safety and growth took center stage Friday, April 21 as Ozark School District officially broke ground on projects at Ozark High School and Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center. These projects include storm shelters at both locations, as well as an indoor practice facility at OHS, all part of the $19 million no-tax-increase bond issue voters approved on the April 5, 2022, ballot.

Ozark Announces New Assistant Principals for 2023-24 School Year
Ozark School District is welcoming two new assistant principals for the 2023-24 school year. The Board of Education, at the April 13 meeting, approved Ashley Penrod as assistant principal for Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center and Brandon Scott for Ozark Middle School. Current Tiger Paw Assistant Principal Brianna Kelly is transitioning to East Elementary.

Ozark School Superintendent Announces Retirement
After serving as Ozark superintendent for the past five years, Dr. Chris Bauman is retiring at the end of the 2022-23 school year. The Board of Education accepted his retirement during the April 13 board meeting, effective June 30, 2023.

April 12, 14 OHS seniors formally announced their commitment to play their sport in college. Ranging from soccer to swimming and even band, these students participated in a signing ceremony where they were honored for not only their achievement, but also all they have done for Ozark.

2023-24 Calendar Finalized; No More Early Release on Fridays
The Board of Education has approved the Ozark School District calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. School start and end times remain the same. However, Fridays will no longer release one hour early. Instead, students will have more three-day weekends with one Monday a month off of school.
