Summer School Set June 1-25
Summer School 2021 is June 1-25. Registration closes May 14. If you plan for your student to attend, please register as early as possible so we are able to hire the correct number of teachers at our elementary schools and know what courses we are able to proceed with at OMS, OJH and OHS.

OJH Art Student Chosen for MSU Juried Exhibition
What started as a conversation between Ozark Junior High freshman Arden Taylor and OJH Assistant Principal Dr. Phillip Link, turned into having artwork accepted into a virtual juried exhibition for high school art and design students at Missouri State University.

3 Ozark Musicians Make State Choir
In order to audition for the All-State Choir, students must first audition for the District Honor Choir and score in the top 25 in their section. This year, 31 Ozark students were selected for the South Central All-District Choir and eight were eligible to audition for All-State.

Varsity Cheer Places 1st at State
Congratulations to OHS Cheer. Varsity placed first in 5A Large division at the MCCA State Competition and the Game Day Squad took third. Eight athletes were also named All-State.

Ozark School District Hires New Administrators for 2021-22 School Year
The Ozark Board of Education, at its Feb. 18 meeting, voted to hire two new administrators for the 2021-22 school year. Dr. Morgan Kelly was named North Elementary principal and Tom Colvin was named Ozark Junior High assistant principal.

OJH Student Writes Article About 'A Hero Among Us'
Ozark Junior High students in Missi Hesketh's KITES class were recently challenged to "look for the heroes" in the community. They were then tasked with interviewing the hero and writing an article to submit to the Christian County Headliner News. Eighth-grader Bella Eagan interviewed Ozark Police Chief Justin Arnold.

Voters Approve Ozark School District’s $26.5 Million No Tax Increase Bond Issue

Junior High Speech & Debate Takes 2nd at Tourney
Ozark Junior High hosted the Ozark Speech & Debate Tournament Feb. 29 with 10 schools and hundreds of entries. Overall, Ozark placed second with seventh grader Cammie Dyke bringing home a first-place win in the storytelling category.
