Monday, April 8, 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. @ OIC

You’re invited to join us for Ozark High School’s Showcase of the Arts, an expansive immersive art show uniting various programs. Immerse yourself in the realm of performance, fine, and practical arts as the community gathers to appreciate the diverse facets of creativity at Ozark High School. Our primary aim is to amplify the spotlight on art in all forms, fostering a culture that recognizes its profound impact. Through this event, students will discover the potential of pursuing art as a successful career, providing them with the opportunity for recognition and emphasizing that art is woven into the fabric of our culture. Join us in celebrating the boundless possibilities that art unfolds for individuals and the community alike.

Meet Robbie Hembree, a sophomore theater student and one of the many artists that will be featured at OHS's Showcase of the Arts.

When asked about what advice he would give other artists, Robbie said, "Try anything you think you might enjoy even a little bit, because you have nothing to lose if you try something new but don’t like it. However, if you don’t try something, it could be a wasted opportunity. So just try as much as you can to find where you really shine.”

See Robbie and other talented artists like him on April 8 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ozark Innovation Center.

Meet Kaylee Reed,  a senior culinary student and one of the many artists that will be featured at OHS's Showcase of the Arts.

When asked about what impact she wants her art to have and how the culinary program has influenced that, Kaylee said, “I hope that my art will let viewers see that even the simplest things can be made into something beautiful. That art doesn't mean that something has to be wild, crazy, or super detailed. Being a part of the culinary program has influenced my artistic journey because it has shown me that this is another medium of art. That I am able to still be creative and inventive in the kitchen. That making and plating food can be a form of art. ”

See Kaylee and other talented artists like her on April 8 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ozark Innovation Center.

Meet Aliyah Post, a junior fashion and interior design student and one of the many artists that will be featured at OHS's Showcase of the Arts.

When asked about what impact the fashion and design program has had on her Aliyah said, “Being a part of the Fashion and Interior Design department at Ozark High School helped me find my passion. I never thought about interior design before I took Design Fundamentals; now, I am planning to further my studies in hopes of becoming an Interior Designer.”

Meet Delaney Cardin, a senior yearbook/photography student and one of the many artists that will be featured at OHS's Showcase of the Arts.

When asked about what impact the yearbook program has had on her, Delaney said, “Being a part of yearbook for the past three years of high school has directly influenced my passion for photography. Not only have I grown as a photographer, but I’ve been able to develop and find a niche in the photography world. Yearbook has allowed me to explore photographing all kinds of different sports, events, fundraisers and dances. Recently I’ve been able to expand out of school as well. I've developed a love for taking portrait pictures as well as expanded my knowledge in videography. Soon, I hope to grow my business in portrait photography to have a job during college. Ultimately, without yearbook as a start I wouldn’t be making the money I am today, nor having a hobby I love, getting to capture special memories, moments and celebrations.”

When asked about what advice he would give other students interested in art, Arden said, "Good art comes from immersing yourself in what it means to be a human being in its truest absurd light. Art is also like any sport, practice makes you better, for you can start with no talent and work your way up if all you have is passion.”
