OHS HOSA Students Make School History at State Leadership Conference

 

Students from Ozark High School earned record-setting success at the HOSA State Leadership Conference this year, bringing home the most top-five finishes in school history.

OHS also had a record number of students qualify for the state competition, showcasing the continued growth and success of the school’s HOSA program.

Students earning honors included:

  • Rowan Gardner: 4th Place Health Policy Extemporaneous Writing and Top-10 ATC General Chemistry
  • Madison Laws: 4th Place Occupational Therapy
  • Brodie Mohler: 4th Place ATC Biochemistry and Top-10 Health Policy Extemporaneous Writing
  • Anna Pumphrey and Petra Weathers: Top-10 Mental Health Promotion
  • Lexie Zagorodny: 1st Place Surgical Technologist, becoming the first gold medalist in OHS HOSA history

Students also found success in the Anatomage Tournament competition:

  • Aaden Dollins, Madison Laws, Chase Mathis, and Lilly Smith: 3rd Place
  • Brodie Mohler, Sebastian Villarreal, and Lexie Zagorodny: Top-10 (9th Place)

School staff said they are proud of the students’ hard work, dedication, and commitment to representing OHS at a high level throughout the competition.
