High School Artists Bring Student Drawings to Life for Elementary Collaboration

Fourth grade students at Ozark East Elementary in Kate Strohm’s class were surprised and excited Tuesday morning when students from Ozark High School arrived with finished 3-D sculptures based on their original artwork.

The sculptures were created by students in Sculpture II, who transformed 2-D drawings made by the fourth graders months earlier into detailed three-dimensional works of art.

The collaborative project highlights creativity across grade levels while giving younger students the opportunity to see their ideas brought to life by older student artists. District staff said the experience reflects a strong culture of mentorship, inspiration, and connection between schools.
