Winckler currently serves as the Director of Special Services for the Dallas County School District in Buffalo. In this role, Winckler oversees special education programs for ages 3-21, gifted education, homebound instruction, and English language learners. She also has experience in budget applications and grant writing.

“I am honored to serve the Ozark School District at Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center. The programs at Tiger Paw have a strong tradition, and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to support the students and staff as we build strong foundations for our youngest learners," she said.

Winckler started her education career as a special education teacher in the Humansville School District in 2008, working in three different districts in special education over the course of the next 14 years before landing in her current position as Director of Special Services in Dallas County School District in 2022.

She received her masters in special education with an emphasis in autism in 2018 from the University of Central Missouri, and her educational leadership specialist degree in 2024 from Northwest Missouri State University.

Executive Director of Elementary Learning Dr. Kent Sappington said he’s looking forward to welcoming Winckler to the elementary team.

“Her expertise in special education, combined with her skill at leading teachers and experience in a district the size of Ozark, will be invaluable. Paired with Mrs. Penrod's strong background in general education, this partnership will create a highly effective and cohesive team,” Sappington said. “Tiger Paw is an exceptional school, and I am confident that Mrs. Winckler will continue to foster growth there while challenging and strengthening both the staff and programs.”

Winckler will start her new position at Tiger Paw on July 1.
