Contract Extended for Ozark Superintendent Dr. Lori Wilson

At the Jan. 27 meeting, the Ozark Board of Education approved a one-year contract extension for Superintendent Dr. Lori Wilson, extending her leadership through the 2028-29 school year.
Wilson served as interim superintendent during the first half of the 2023-24 school year before being named superintendent on Dec. 13, 2023.
“Dr. Wilson leads with integrity, experience, and a genuine heart for students and staff,” Ozark Board of Education President Amber Bryant said. “Ozark Schools are in a strong position, and the Board is excited to continue working alongside her as we build on the positive momentum across the district.”
Wilson has been in education for more than 25 years and started her administration career in 2009 as the Ozark High School Principal. Her leadership experience includes serving as principal of Nixa Junior High, assistant superintendent for Aurora Public Schools, and superintendent of the West Plains School District beginning in 2018. She returned to Ozark in 2022 as assistant superintendent of business and chief financial officer.
“It is an honor to work in Ozark with incredible students, staff, families, and community members,” Wilson said. “There is so much positive momentum in Ozark Schools and throughout the Ozark community. I am excited to continue serving, moving forward with ongoing initiatives, and seeing the completion of several important projects.”
The Jan. 27 vote was for Wilson’s contract only.
