Tiger Stripes That Sparkle: Ozark High School Junior Crowned Miss Teen USA

Ozark School District is proud to celebrate OHS junior Mailyn Marsh, who was crowned Miss Teen USA earlier at a national pageant on Thursday, Oct. 23, a tremendous achievement that has filled the Ozark community with pride.
“This honor has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember,” Mailyn said. “I am so grateful and excited for the year to come, and the doors that will open because of this opportunity. The Miss USA organization is under incredible new leadership that will ensure I have a life-changing year, with the best appearances, travel opportunities, and chances to make a difference nationally. I'm excited to step into this role with enthusiasm for the future and the humility to understand the weight of the honor I hold.”
Mailyn, who has attended Ozark Schools since fifth grade, credits her teachers and mentors for shaping her leadership skills and helping her reach this milestone.
“Ozark has been my home since the fifth grade,” she said. “From when I first moved in to now, I've been blessed with the most encouraging and uplifting teachers who taught me the definition of what it is to be a leader. I believe Ozark prepared me for this role by allowing me to see firsthand what it truly is to be a leader and mentor, by giving me some of the best to learn from.”
Ozark Schools is incredibly proud of Mailyn’s accomplishment and looks forward to cheering her on as she represents not only Ozark, but the entire state of Missouri, and now, the nation.
