OHS Educators Rising Students Shine at Nationals

Ozark High School Educators Rising students recently attended the Educators Rising National Conference in Portland, Oregon, where they showcased their talents and represented both Ozark High School and the state of Missouri on a national stage.

Leading the way was Anna Pumphrey, who earned 3rd place nationally in Varsity Lesson Planning and Delivery – STEM. Pumphrey taught a science lesson for preschool students in Ms. Cash’s Tiger Paw class focused on why certain objects sink or float.

Eirelyn Myers also earned national recognition, placing 8th in Varsity Lesson Planning and Delivery – Arts. Myers worked with first-grade students in Mrs. Cobb’s class at South Elementary, guiding them through a self-portrait art lesson.

Haley Cashman and Adalyn Stokes qualified nationally in Varsity Lesson Planning and Delivery – Professional Development. The pair presented a professional development session on social and emotional learning for Ozark High School faculty.

Ella Hedgpeth was a national qualifier in Creative Lecture – TED Talk, presenting on the evolution of educational reform from the 1950s through projected changes in 2050. And Hannah Lynch was a national qualifier in the Exploring Career in Administration event. 

In addition to competing, students had the opportunity to explore the Pacific Northwest and experience Oregon’s scenic coastline.

Ozark High School congratulates these outstanding students for their accomplishments and for representing their school, community, and future profession with excellence.
