Two Ozark High School Seniors Honored in 2025 Missouri Scholars 100 Program

Ozark High School is proud to announce that seniors Savannah Miller and Amelia Cazier have been recognized in the prestigious 2025 Missouri Scholars 100 program, a statewide initiative that honors the top academic students in Missouri. Savannah has been selected as one of the top 100 scholars, and Amelia has received an Honorable Mention for their outstanding academic achievements.

The announcement of their selection was made by Dr. Phillip Witt, Principal at Ozark High School.

"We are incredibly proud of the hard work, effort and dedication that has led to this honor," Witt said. "Being named a part of the Missouri Scholars 100 is a remarkable achievement that reflects not only academic excellence but also a commitment to continuous learning and growth."

Missouri Scholars 100 is a competitive program that invites schools across the state to nominate candidates based on academic excellence. The selection process employs a formula considering the student's grade point average and ACT or SAT scores. Nominees must meet the criteria of an “Academic Decathlon,” successfully navigating 10 challenging academic events to showcase their scholastic strength.

To qualify, students must hold a minimum GPA of 3.750, a minimum ACT score of 29 or a minimum SAT score of 1,280, rank in the upper 10 percent of their class, and engage in advanced coursework in mathematics, science, English, and foreign language. Additionally, nominees must exhibit excellent attendance, exemplary citizenship within the school, and active participation in the school's activity program.

"Our teaching staff always knew these bright, engaged, and community-driven young women were among the best scholars in Missouri during their time at Ozark," said OHS Senior Counselor Amber Manning. "It’s extra special for them to receive this well-deserved recognition and honor."

The 2025 Missouri Scholars 100 program marks its 31th annual recognition, reflecting a longstanding commitment to honoring academic excellence. The recognition will culminate in a special luncheon in Columbia on May 4, 2025.
