Ozark’s audio production students had some fun in the OIC recording studio during finals teaming up with a student-led band, “The Kicks” to record a few songs.

“This session was the first of its kind in that space, and it is so exciting to me that Ozark students will continue to have unique opportunities like this,” said Connor Gately, audio productions teacher.

Students Aidan Johnson and Isiah Nash took the lead in setting up and running the session. This is the first year audio productions has been offered and students have spent the school year learning the ins and outs of audio production, including using the brand-new recording studio inside the Ozark Innovation Center.

“Beyond being able to be performers and creators, those song files will also be used for mixing examples for the students in Audio Production for years to come,” Gately said.
