Online Learning

Ozark School District offers many learning opportunities at the high school level, including seated courses, online courses, dual credit, AP and IB advanced courses, college courses through Ozarks Technical Community College, as well as GO CAPS (Greater Ozarks Centers for Advanced Professional Studies) and the A+ program. Students are free to mix all offered courses — seated, online, OTC, etc. — to have a combination of classes, depending on what works best for your learning style. Please see the current list of OHS online classes.

MOCAP – Missouri Course Access and Virtual School Program

In compliance with Missouri state law, students are allowed to seek full-time virtual learning and choose their own virtual learning provider. If you are interested in pursuing 100% virtual education, you will need to begin the application process with one of the virtual providers. You may be asked to provide information such as immunizations, copy of a student’s birth certificate, recent IEP or 504 (if applicable), latest transcript and/or grade card, and proof of residency.

As outlined in Missouri House Bill 1552, students who choose to enroll with a MOCAP provider for full-time online learning will cease to be a student of the Ozark RVI School District. Therefore, such students will not be eligible to participate in any sports, clubs or activities open to traditional students enrolled in Ozark Schools. Furthermore, such students will ultimately earn a diploma from the virtual provider, rather than from Ozark High School.

Students who are not currently enrolled in the Ozark School District but live in the district can apply directly to the virtual provider without first enrolling in Ozark. Proof of residency will be required.

To apply, students should begin the application process with the vendor (online school) of their choice. For a complete listing of all providers and more information, visit the MOCAP site.

MOCAP Course Partnerships- Please contact your student’s counselor to review the courses available to Ozark students.

Parents or students interested in online courses should work with the school counselor to create the best plan of action for the individual student.
