Mr. Les Ford

This is my fifth year as principal at this great school, and my 19th total as a middle school administrator.  I am passionate about giving middle level students a positive school experience.  I want all of our students to think more deeply than they ever have, explore their interests, and learn! All while enjoying school.

I have been a lot of places in my career, and Ozark is an amazing school district and community.  Our students arrive ready to learn with a firm elementary background.  Our parents and community expect the best from our students, and the students live up to that expectation.  Our teachers not only work extremely hard, but extremely smart; they spend their collaboration time focused on how they can help students learn better and more.  It’s a great privilege for me to see them in action every day.

I have four wonderful children, two in high school and two in college.  My desire is that your children have the same great middle school experience that I wanted for my own children.  I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to work with them at OMS.

This is my third year as an assistant principal for Ozark School District. I love public education, and I am passionate about student learning. I spent five years in the classroom teaching math and coaching high school athletics. I loved every minute of being a coach and educator.

My husband is a head basketball coach, so we spend many nights in the gym watching basketball. We have one daughter named Remi who we enjoy spending time with.

I believe Ozark is a wonderful place to raise a family and provides a quality education for students.

This is my twelfth year working in Ozark Schools. I spent eleven years teaching in a variety of settings including: social studies, English Language Arts, library science and coaching colleagues in the utilization of technology in the classroom. This is my first year as an assistant principal for Ozark School District, and I plan to continue my passion educating all students and look forward to my new role as assistant principal.

My husband and I have been married for 26 years and have two wonderful daughters and two beautiful granddaughters. I love spending time with my family, and they all keep me very busy when I am not at school.

Ozark is truly a wonderful place to raise a family and our schools provide students with a quality education. I am excited about the future and look forward to serving the families at OMS.
