Mission

Encouraging success in children and families by bridging the resource gap with Ozark partnerships    

Purpose

The Ozark Cares Network brings together non-profit organizations, Ozark businesses, service organizations, members of the faith community and Ozark citizens to address resource gaps that hinder student success in school.    

Goals

• Partner to meet immediate critical needs when they arise
• Partner to provide opportunities to help students and their families grow from “critical need” situations to long term “stability
• Partner to benefit the school as a whole (students, staff, facilities, programs, etc.)

The Ozark Cares Network partners include Care to Learn-Ozark, Least of These, Freedom's Rest and more.

The following gently used items are always needed and may be dropped off at First Baptist Church of Ozark (1400 W Jackson St., Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

• Jeans/pants/joggers - all sizes from kids 2T through adult 4XL
• Shorts - all sizes from kids 2T through adult 4XL
• Hoodies - all sizes from kids 2T through adult 4XL
• Short-sleeve and long-sleeve shirts - boys and girls all sizes from 2T through 18 and all men's sizes (no ladies shirts needed)
• Plus size clothing for both men and women
• New and very gently used tennis shoes

Operation Half Pint is entirely donation-based and 100% of all donations are used to purchase an extra milk or snack milk for students on the free/reduced meal program. 

The program brings nutrition, self-esteem and smiles to children's faces and helps them to be more effective learners.
