Ozark Rotary Club recently donated $8,000 to Ozark School District programs. Care to Learn Ozark, which helps meet the immediate needs of students in the areas of health, hunger, and hygiene, received $4,000, while Finley River School, which provides alternative education, also received $4,000.

Just one month after Ozark’s Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center received $100,000 in grants allowing the addition of two preschool classrooms, Tiger Paw received another grant allowing families to save money. This new grant, valued up to $780,000, will pay tuition for students who will enter kindergarten in the 2025-26 school year.

Congratulations to West Elementary Music Teacher Salley Doherty for being selected as the 2024 McDonald’s Outstanding Educator. She was chosen out of hundreds of nominations from 126 McDonald’s restaurants.

Thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to attend one (or many) of our assemblies or even read a book and talk to students about what it means to be a veteran. The Math Mentor Squad is comprised of OMS sixth grade math teachers Emily Burns and Josiah Johnson who make fun, engaging math videos for students. Since debuting the videos in the 2023-24 school year, they have not only seen more students engaged in class, but they've noticed students having more confidence.

Ozark Junior High School hosted its second annual Team Day on Sept. 20, an event designed to foster teamwork, school spirit and a sense of belonging among students. The day focused on bringing students together to learn the importance of collaboration in a fun and engaging way, while also helping them bond with their teams.

Ozark High School art students, led by art teacher Ashleigh Hawkins, have been busy spreading holiday cheer all over the Ozark Square and OIC! Their vibrant and festive window paintings have turned the area into a magical winter wonderland, bringing smiles and holiday spirit to the whole community.

Finley River School, an extension of Ozark High School, recently received a generous $1,000 donation from YIPOA (Youth In Pursuit of Awakening), a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to outdoor adventure and community in Ozark. Located on a 40-acre property with Onewheel tracks and trails, YIPOA serves as a destination where Finley River students have celebrated their achievements through outdoor experiences.

Meet Robi: a fun and adorable soda can robot built with the help of Mr. Carlton’s robotics students. Students not only showed off their building skills but also shared insights into the growing robotics industry. Now, Robi proudly sits on Mr. Kirby's desk, a symbol of hard work, teamwork, and awesome behavior.
Coach Floyd and Ms. Davidson's Academy Explorations students took their learning outside, diving into the Natural Resources pathway! Using the SEEK app, students identified various plant and animal species, embracing nature as their classroom.
ProStart students in the Culinary pathway sharpened their skills today with a hands-on lesson in knife techniques. From precision cuts to proper safety, these future chefs are mastering the basics that will serve them in the kitchen and beyond.
Bond
A new chapter for Ozark High School student activities began on Aug. 22, 2024, as the Ozark community, along with state and local representatives, school and District staff, OHS band students, cheerleaders, and JROTC cadets, gathered to cut the ribbon for the OHS storm shelter/gym and the new indoor activities center.
Ozark School District is excited to celebrate the completion of our latest 2022 bond project with the official Ribbon Cutting for the new indoor activity center and storm shelter/gym at Ozark High School on Aug. 22 at 5:30 p.m.
Spring of 2024 has already proven the need for Ozark School District to have a storm shelter at every building. And, as of May 21, Ozark is one step closer with the official Ribbon Cutting for the storm shelter at Tiger Paw Early Childhood Center.

Ozark Middle School was filled with laughter, joy and singing on March 8, 2024 as the Ozark community, state and local representatives, school and District staff and OMS choir students gathered to cut the official ribbon for the OMS storm shelter, classrooms, offices and new entrance.
