Community Engagement Plan

The Ozark School District is seeking input on a Community Engagement Plan, outlining specific engagement opportunities and community strategies to stay informed about student progress and the business of the District. The following is a draft outlining different communication strategies from the classroom, building and district levels.

A community survey was conducted from Aug. 24 - Sept. 14, 2023. The data gathered from the survey was then used to help develop the Community Engagement Plan.

The Community Engagement Plan will be posted on the district website from Sept. 21- Oct. 6, 2023, to gather any additional feedback from stakeholders.

The District will present the results to the Board of Education on Oct. 19, 2023. Patrons may share any additional feedback by emailing ozarkcommunications@ozarktigers.org.

Community Engagement Plan Development

This community engagement plan reflects a cooperative process between the board and community members. It describes the various methods teachers, administration, and the board use to engage with the community to address issues related to the District’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.

These activities and communication strategies outlined within the plan are in addition to the opportunity for District residents to place items on the board agenda in accordance with policy BDDH.

This plan was developed with input from staff and patrons from within the District. The plan provides a number of communication events and tools from the classroom, building, and district levels to ensure parents are informed.

This plan will be posted on the district website for public comment from Sept. 18 - Oct. 1, 2023, to gather feedback from all stakeholders, to use along with the survey data.
