Mrs. Stacie Wood
As you can see from my Welcome page, I love my family. I am blessed to be married to my best friend, Trevor, and we have 3 kids. Skyllar is 18 and is in college. Keaton is 13 and is a 7th grader at OMS, and finally, Madison is 4 and goes to Tiger Paw in Ozark.
Teaching is one of my passions, and the relationships I build with my students mean the world to me. I remember playing teacher when I was a young child and would even spend my allowance at the teacher store on teaching materials including stickers, stamps, lesson plan books and even grade books. I would make up fake classes and assign assignments too. It was only natural that I would pursue a degree in Education, which is exactly what I did. I got my degree from MSU in May of 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Middle School Education with an emphasis in Science and English. I began teaching 6th grade at Upper Elementary in August of 2004. Since being at Upper Elementary, I have taught English Language Arts, Social Studies and Science. I currently teach 6th grade ELA. I have continued my love for learning by graduating with my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in the summer of 2014, and I graduated May 19, 2018 with my Specialist Degree in Administration in hopes of being a building administrator in the future. Eventually I will move on and complete my doctorate as well. Until then, I will be the best teacher and leader I can be in Ozark.
