JR. HIGH STUDENT AMBASSADORS
What is a Student Ambassador?
A student ambassador is a student who is proud to be a TIGER and is willing to share their love of their school with new students so that they may feel welcomed. Student Ambassadors will be called out of class to help new students adjust to OJH. This would include giving them a tour, eating lunch with them a few times, and escorting them to their bus the first day. They would also help give the 7th graders tours in the spring and may be asked to facilitate other OJH events.
Who can be a Student Ambassador?
Any current 8th or 9th grade OJH student who feels the description above fits them! Since you may miss some classes to give new student tours, we ask that you have grades of C or higher and at least 90% school attendance.
What is the time commitment?
Students who are selected will have to attend a required training, meet with new students as needed, and attend team meetings occasionally with Mrs. Krudwig or Mr. Lasley.
How do I apply to be a Student Ambassador?
1. Fill out an application and return to Mrs. Krudwig.
2. A panel of teachers will review the applications.
3. We will be interviewing and talking with qualified students.
Thankfulness Tree – Ambassadors organize a tree and students can write what they are thankful for.
