  • Operation Renovate & Innovate Moves Forward Over Summer

    Since the Board of Education approved the District's long-range plan in March, Operation Renovate & Innovate has been underway, with renovations at the middle school and Tiger Paw, as well as the purchase of a commercial facility. The District has also established eight areas of focus for the innovation center.

  • County Courts Focusing on Struggling Students in Diversion Court

    The Circuit Court of Christian County, 38th Judicial Circuit, will implement a new program this fall aimed to help students struggling in school and life who may be headed down a path with lifelong consequences. The program, called Christian County Diversion Court, is a collaborative effort with the Circuit Court, Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Juvenile Office and Ozark School District to provide additional support, interventions and accountability to families to help students be successful.

    Over the summer of 2019, Ozark Middle School saw many renovations and updates, thanks to a busy grounds, maintenance and custodial staff. The summer renovations were part of Phase One of the District’s long-range plan, known as Operation Renovate & Innovate.

    Can plants grow without soil? If you’re not sure of the answer, talk to a North Elementary fifth grader. They can not only answer that question, but they can tell you exactly what a plant does need to grow, as well as how to build a hydroponic system at home.

  • Drive for Attendance: Youngblood to Give Away Jeep Renegade to 1 Lucky Student

    The first day of school is always exciting. This year, however, Ozark High School students had a bit of extra excitement as a new Jeep Renegade drove into Tiger Stadium. "One of the keys to you being successful this year is to make sure you're here everyday," OHS Principal Jeremy Brownfield told students on the first day of school, Aug. 15. "You have to have good attendance."

  • Ozark School District Purchases Facility as Part of Long Range Plan

    SLS Audio Products - Dolby Laboratories now has a new neighbor as Ozark School District closed on the purchase of the commercial property known as the Fasco building located at 1600 W. Jackson St. in Ozark on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. The $4.1 million purchase is part of Phase 1 of the District's Long Range Plan, which the Board of Education approved in March, and will serve as an extension of the main Ozark High School campus and a new location of District Office.
