“Why did you want to build a well?” “Are there poisonous animals that prevent children from going to school?” “What do the houses look like?” “What do you do for entertainment?” These are just a few of the questions Ozark elementary KITES students asked their special guests — Mathias George and Barbara Burgwin from Kenya, and Riley Snyder, a Branson resident who started the nonprofit organization Generation Next.
At the September luncheon, Springfield AT&T Pioneer Club President Ann Woods presents a $100 check to Shane Strahl, with Operation Half Pint and senior vice president of Ozark Bank, to benefit Operation Half Pint.

Director of Nutrition and Food Services Jo Haraldson said it’s often a struggle to offer students the foods they like and comply with nutrition standards. The taste testing events help introduce new foods and gain valuable feedback.
As you walk through the door, the sights, sounds and aromas of a restaurant consume you as the host leads you to your seat. The waitress takes your order and you can see the cooks starting to prepare your food.
