School Board Extends Contract for Superintendent Bauman
At the Jan. 21 Ozark Board of Education meeting, the board unanimously approved a three-year contract for Superintendent Dr. Chris Bauman. Bauman will continue to lead Ozark through the 2023-24 school year.

North Elementary Gets Little Free Library
North Elementary School’s PTA recently donated, built and installed a Little Free Library — a book-sharing box set up in communities where people can exchange books for free. The Little Free Library is available to anyone, however, since it’s at an elementary school, donated books should be geared toward younger readers.

Two Ozark Administrators Recognized as Principals of the Year
The Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals named two Ozark administrators, Dr. Kim Fitzpatrick and Anna Thurman, as principals of the year for the Southwest Region on Dec. 7.

JROTC Rifle Team Places 1st at Washington Rifle Classic
The Ozark High School Army Junior ROTC Rifle Team traveled to Washington, Missouri, on Dec. 12, bringing back multiple first-place finishes at the Washington Missouri Rifle Classic.

OHS JROTC Places in Dec. 5 Drill, Rifle Competitions
Dec. 5 was a busy and successful day for the Ozark High School Army Junior ROTC as the Drill Team hosted the Tiger Drill Classic and the Rifle Team competed in the Gary Anderson Invitational Rifle Meet in Anniston, Alabama.
