The Pride of Ozark Marching Band and Color Guard kicked off their summer with a bang by spending some time showcasing their incredible talent at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Two Ozark School District teachers had a big surprise May 15 as Whataburger briefly interrupted their classrooms to give them each $1,000 for Teacher Appreciation Week as part of the Whatateacher program.
It's a busy month for Ozark High School students as seniors finalize their plans for next year and beyond. The first week in May, eight students publicly announced their future plans, some planning to become future educators and some already have a job lined up.
On April 29, over 45 Ozark High School band and choir students traveled to Mizzou to compete in the State Solo and Ensemble competition, and came home with some new hardware. Choir students received nine gold and nine silver ratings; and band received eight gold and 19 silver ratings.
Last month, two Ozark High School seniors, Mirabella Blair and Paige Taylor, were selected for the 2023 Missouri Scholars 100, a program sponsored by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals.
Last week, 14 OHS seniors formally announced their commitment to play their sport in college. Ranging from soccer to swimming and even band, these students participated in a signing ceremony where they were honored for not only their achievement, but also all they have done for Ozark.
The Ozark High Football team ended another great season this year with the varsity team ending with a record of 2-8. The JV team ended with a record of 4-3, and the freshmen squad ended with a record of 1-7.
